8 BALL AWARD

 This award goes back almost to the original formation of the Club, as you will note by the Club History and the list of 59 past winners.
It is awarded, not by the Trustees, but by the votes of the 8-Ball Committee, which is composed of the previous winners of this distinguished Award.
The votes are based on each Committee Member’s opinion as to who, among the present members of our Club, who have not previously won the award, deserves special recognition for services rendered in the community (local, state, national international), or who has performed services of great benefit to our Club.
The identity of the winner is kept secret until the award is presented at the ANNUAL 8-BALL DINNER.
To the Winner, this award is a great one, as the 8-BALL POEM indicates:
THE SPIRIT OF THE 8-BALL
IS A RARE AND WONDROUS THING — IT MAKES YOU THROW OUT YOUR CHEST
YOUR SPIRITS SOAR AND SING

It is a symbol of fellow Club Members’ high esteem of this Member. It is a very SPECIAL honor which every past winner will attest, and an honor which every future winner can be proud of for life.
